I’m a copy-editor, proofreader and editorial consultant, with over 15 years of experience
as an editor in book publishing.

I pride myself on being a diligent, dedicated reader. I am open to taking on any project, in any genre, and have recently worked on books as diverse as a guide to Gaelic Football, a crime anthology featuring Britain’s greatest thriller writers, and saga fiction.
Passionate
I do this job because I love books and love reading. It’s a privilege to be a part of a book’s journey to publication, knowing that my work is helping an author tell their story and helping a reader discover a book they too will love. These values always come across in my work.

I started working in the book industry almost twenty years ago, becoming an editor 15 years ago and working with Bonnier, Orion, Phaidon, Penguin Random House, Dorling Kindersley, and Make Believe Ideas among others. Helpful, insightful and diligent copy-editing for publishers and direct to authors. I ensure all manuscripts are returned with a full, detailed report and style sheet. I will work to any house style.

A final pair of eyes on your manuscript that you can trust. I ensure attention to detail and a keen eye on every word.

For new novelists, aspiring authors and would be biographers, I offer a manuscript assessment, with your first chapter (or first 1000 words) reviewed for free.
